How Gurn Drywall Started

John launched the company with a simple read on what builders want from a drywall subcontractor: reliable scheduling, clean finish work, and a crew they don’t have to chase. In the early years it grew almost entirely by word of mouth, as builder relationships turned into long term partnerships and clients referred their neighbors.

John is the Founder, Owner, and Visionary of Gurn Drywall, a trusted drywall contractor established in 2005. Since founding the company, he has been committed to building a business known for quality craftsmanship, exceptional service, and lasting relationships with clients, employees, and industry partners.

As the company’s Visionary, John sets the long-term direction for the business, identifies opportunities for growth, and drives innovation to ensure the company continues to evolve with the needs of the construction industry. He is passionate about creating a strong company culture, investing in people, and maintaining the high standards that have defined the company since its inception.

In addition to leading the company’s strategic vision, John remains actively involved in day-to-day operations. He prepares project bids and estimates, works closely with clients and contractors throughout the construction process, and personally conducts final walkthroughs to ensure every project meets the company’s expectations for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

With a hands-on leadership style and a commitment to continuous improvement, John has built a reputation for integrity, reliability, and excellence. His dedication to both the company’s long-term vision and the successful execution of every project continues to drive the organization forward and position it for sustained growth.

Sabrina Gurn

Owner/HR/Finance

Sabrina joined the company full-time in 2021 and brought the operational structure that supports Gurn Drywall’s current scale. She oversees the company’s financial operations and supports strategic decision-making that drives long-term growth and stability. She is responsible for managing budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow, accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring the company’s financial health across all areas of the business.

With a detail-oriented approach and a strong commitment to accuracy, Sabrina works closely with the leadership team to monitor project performance, optimize financial processes, and maintain sound fiscal management. Her expertise helps ensure the company operates efficiently while delivering exceptional value to clients.

Hadassah Gurn

President/Integrator

Hadassah oversees the company’s daily operations and ensures every department works together efficiently to deliver exceptional results. With a strong focus on leadership, accountability, and continuous improvement, she plays a key role in driving the company’s growth while maintaining its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

She manages operations, supports project teams, improves processes, and fosters a culture of collaboration and excellence. In her role as Integrator, she aligns the company’s vision with execution, ensuring projects stay on schedule, communication remains seamless, and clients receive the highest level of service from start to finish.

Michael Thomas

General Manager

Mike oversees drywall projects from preconstruction to completion. He works closely with clients, general contractors, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure every project is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

With a strong focus on communication, organization, and problem-solving, Mike coordinates project schedules, manages resources, monitors progress, and addresses challenges proactively to keep projects moving efficiently. His attention to detail and commitment to excellence help ensure smooth operations and successful outcomes on every job.

Micah Gurn

Estimator

Micah is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive project estimates for commercial and residential drywall projects. By reviewing construction plans and specifications, performing detailed material and labor takeoffs, and analyzing project requirements, he helps ensure every bid is thorough, precise, and positioned for success.

Our Project Manager plays a key role in keeping every project organized, efficient, and on track from start to finish. They coordinate with clients, crews, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure expectations are clear, schedules are maintained, and each phase of the project moves forward smoothly. Our Project Manager helps manage timelines, materials, communication, and day-to-day project needs while addressing challenges as they arise. Their goal is simple: keep the team moving, keep the client informed, and make sure every project is completed with quality, professionalism, and accountability.
